How to Make this? Here is a step-by-step guide!

Chicken Tandori (Bana's Way)

Prep time: 30 mins

Cooking time: 25-30 mins

​Ingredients:

Chicken pieces:

1 cup yogurt

¼ cup lemon juice

2 tbsp vinegar

4 garlic cloves

2 tsbp shaved ginger

1 tbsp cumin

1 tsp curry powder

1 tsp finely cut coriander

1 tsp red pepper powder

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp hill grounded

¼ tsp Arnfal ram

Salt and pepper to taste

¼ cup vegetable oil

 

Rice:

1 big onion chopped

2 garlic cloves

1 tbsp ginger

3 cups basmati rice

1 tbsp turmeric

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp red pepper powder

 

Sauce:

1 cup yogurt 

2 cloves garlic

4 peeled cucumber 

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tbsp lemon juice 

Mint and coriander chopped finely

¼ tsp turmeric 

¼ tsp cumin

¼ tsp red pepper powder

  1. Cut your chicken thighs into cubes, and season them well using salt, pepper, garlic, ginger, curry powder, arnfal ram, coriander, red pepper, paprika, ground hill, and cumin,  then mix it and let it marinate for 30 mins.

  2. After mixing add the olive oil, yogurt, lemon juice, vinegar

  3. Add olive oil to a pan and stir around for about 8 minutes per side.

  4. After done, add the chicken to the side

Rice: 

  1. In a pan, add olive oil, then add in the ginger, onion, and garlic.

  2. Add the cumin paprika, and red chilli.

  3. Add the rice with boiling water, in a pot over high heat. Keep putting the heat lower until the rice fully cooks through. For every 1 cup of rice, add 1 and 1/2 cups of water.

  4.  Fluff it up with a fork in the end.

Sauce:

  1. Add the yogurt, lemon juice, cucumber, and garlic to a bowl.

  2. Add the mint, coriander, salt, pepper, turmeric, cumin, and red pepper powder
  3. Finally, assemble the rice and chicken next to each other, and use the sauce as a dip for the chicken or to eat with rice.
